Church Life

Welcome to our ‘oasis of peace’, right in the heart of Gerrards Cross.

St Andrew’s is a small, friendly and inclusive church, where you can come along and just be yourself.

There are opportunities to serve and learn. We welcome new ideas and energy in serving the local and international community and strengthening our commitment to Jesus Christ. The building is available for the use of various organisations, including Careers Springboard, which meets each Monday evening. The church also supports various mission and charitable organisations.

About the URC

St Andrew’s URC is part of the United Reformed Church, which was formed in the UK when Presbyterians, Congregationalists and Churches of Christ joined together in an ecumenical spirit of unity in 1972 to create a new denomination. In its mission to serve Christ, the URC is characterised by a spirit of openness and diversity in theological perspectives, a commitment to mission at home and abroad, a representative structure of governance, and a thoughtful approach to scripture. Our beliefs are reflected in historic creeds of the worldwide Christian Church such as the Apostles’ Creed, our denominational Basis of Union, and our own congregation’s mission statement.

Bible verse of the day

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.”
